You Don’t Fail – Diets Do
Most people usually will not follow a healthy diet because they either don’t value their health or they are uneducated about what a healthy diet actually is.
Healthy dieting is vital because it’s difficult to feel good without eating nutritious food. If you aren’t healthy life can be very hard to enjoy.
To preserve our good health, you need to eat a healthy balanced diet. Couldn’t be easier could it? Due to our diverse life styles, eating a balanced diet is much harder than we imagine.
Making ridiculous changes to your diet overnight probably isn’t a good idea, after a few days your resolve is going to weaken and you will simply go back to your old ways. It is much better to make minute changes, this way it will have a more lasting effect.
Why Diets Don’t Work
Most diets don’t work because they don’t to address the things that cause us to overeat. We eat too often or too much due to a number of psychological reasons. Some overeat because they fail to eat consciously, they just eat without thinking. After years of eating on the run, in the front of the television or while stuffing a hot dog into their mouth while driving down the highway; they eat like dogs never stopping to taste, savor and enjoy the food their eating.
Dieting is a poor fix for needed lifestyle changes. The people who actually lose weight and keep it off are the people who change their lifestyle once and for all. Changing your lifestyle is easier then dieting and far more rewarding.
Healthy diets may not need a great deal of tests and studies behind them, simply because they are based on fundamentals.
Diets are hard to follow.
Most of us feel as though we‘re starving when we diet. Have you ever met anyone on a diet that liked it? When I went on a diet I hated it. It made me unhappy and depressed.
Dieting slows your metabolism. The less you eat the slower your metabolism gets eventually causing you to eat less and less until your weight loss stops entirely. If you resume normal eating your weight quickly returns plus more pounds due to taking months for your metabolism to return to normal. Guess what happens next? You are back dieting again.
If you are looking for tools for dieting and weight loss start with these. Learn to eat consciously, cut back on your calorie intake slowly and in this way your body will not think it’s dieting and you will be successful at losing weight.
